Wednesday, December 4, 11:32 pm:

I had just gotten out of the shower and was getting ready for bed when I got a call from Chelsea letting me know her water broke. I knew she had a history of fast labor and the hospital where she was delivering was an hour away from me, so I was out the door in 10 minutes.

1:00 am

When I arrived at the hospital, they were just getting to their room and completing the paperwork. Chelsea was smiling and calm. After the nurses got her hooked up to the monitors, she wanted to stand to allow baby to move further down into the birth canal.

2:17 am

Matt, Chelsea's husband, was so supportive throughout the delivery. He brought her ice, stood and watched the monitor, and even massaged her back and shoulders to ease the tension.

3:00 am

Things started to progress quickly. Chelsea was in more pain but was still calm and quiet. She had her husband go get the nurses and let them know it was time to push.

It's a GIRL!!

Up until this moment, they did not know if they were having a boy or a girl. You can see the excitement on each of their faces as they discovered that their daughter and their son were getting a new sister!
